Young Professional Membership launched by IAA's India Chapter

The announcement was made by Raj Nayak at the IAA World Board Meeting in Cannes

The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) has announced the launch of IAA's Young Professional (YP) Membership.

The formal announcement was made by Raj Nayak, president, India Chapter, IAA at the IAA World Board Meeting, at the ongoing Cannes International Advertising Festival.

One incentive offered to the new YP members is an early bird lucky draw, where one YP member stands a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to attend AdAsia 2009 in Kuala Lumpur in October.

The YPs will have an opportunity to tap into the IAA's collective knowledge base and network. They will also stand to benefit from the India Chapter's networking events, seminars on industry topics, as well as other opportunities such as informal mentoring and advice.

Nayak says that there are already more than 1,000 IAA Young Professional members worldwide, with Chapters in 12 countries, who have exclusive access to a selection of tools and research papers on the IAA website, with features such as agency search, IAA smart charts (information on industry trends and details of various countries).

The YP membership, which costs Rs 3,500 per annum, is open to marketing communications professionals who are under the age of 35.

For the record, the IAA is headquartered in New York and was founded in 1938. It has 56 chapters in 76 countries and is a global partnership whose members comprise advertisers, media, advertising and public relations agencies, media companies and academic institutes.
