Colors wants to say 'Thank you'

The channel wants to thank its viewers for having completed a successful one year

It's going to be the culmination of a year of the eventful launch of Colors. The channel will celebrate it by thanking the viewers through an interactive campaign called Shukriya India. The campaign will be carried out through July.

"Shukriya India campaign," says Rameet Arora, marketing head, Colors, "is a gesture to thank the millions of viewers and give back to society. It is humbling to know how much people appreciate your efforts. Thanks to the millions of loyal fans, Colors was able to cross a lot of milestones in its first year itself. This is a truly grass root campaign that allows us to engage fans and touch the lives of more than 10 thousand children," he adds.

For this, Colors has partnered with various publications, radio stations and outdoor companies. The campaign will be implemented across 36 cities, in addition to Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Some of the publications partnering the effort are the Times Group, Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, Rajasthan Patrika, Hari Bhoomi, Lokmat, Sandesh, Hindustan, Baartman, Raj Express and Assomiya Pratidin.

The first phase is in the form of a contest which will give the fans an opportunity to meet and interact with the popular stars of the programmes. The channel will look out for a fan whose craziness for the channel surpasses all boundaries of normal fan behaviour and fulfil his or her demands.

Besides personally meeting and celebrating with the fans, the channel will have some of the viewers appearing on television (in the form of vignettes) and sharing their thoughts. Colors is also partnering with iDiscoveri, a social enterprise with a mission to renew education in India, which works towards improving the quality of education across the nation.

Ashvini Yardi, programming head, Colors, says, "They say a show is only as good as what the audience thinks about it. It's a great privilege to know that the audience loves us and our shows. On this occasion, we want to thank them with all our hearts and promise to continue to provide meaningful entertainment every time."

The channel has three new shows lined up for launch - reality show India's Got Talent, Chhote Miyan Season 2, mythological series Mahavir Hanuman and a daily soap, Swarg. Besides, the subsequent seasons of two blockbuster reality shows, Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss, are on the cards.
