141 Sercon sets up office in Vietnam

This is the company's second office in South East Asia, the first one being in Singapore

141 Sercon, the below-the-line marketing services company, has announced the opening of a new office in Vietnam. This will be 141 Sercon's second office in South East Asia. Its headquarters for the region are in Singapore.

With the rising client demand in the South East Asian region, 141 Sercon felt the need to set up another office. Rajesh Ghatge, executive director and chief operating officer, 141 Sercon, adds, "We have been servicing clients who have been present in this region. Now, we feel it is the right time to set up a physical office."

The Vietnam office has begun hiring personnel, as the aim is to build an agency based on local talent.

Vijay Singh, co-founder and managing director, 141Sercon talks about the Vietnam office and says that the development is perfectly timed. "Not only is Vietnam rising to higher levels of economic growth, but this is also an opportune time for us internally to spread our presence across Asia."

The Vietnam office is already working on the Sun Microsystems account, along with a couple of other projects.

Besides Singapore and Vietnam, 141 Sercon plans to expand to other countries in the region, such as Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.

For the record, 141 Sercon had recently won the marketing duties for Shriram Life.

141 Sercon was started in 1996 and is a part of the WPP and Bates 141 Group. The company provides below the line marketing, activation, digital and retail solutions to brands and organizations, operating in FMCG, consumer durable and information technology verticals.
