Dentsu India has appointed Sai Nagesh as chief growth officer, Dentsu Media. Nagesh will work closely with Ruchira Raina, national business head. His mandate will be to steer forward the organic and inorganic growth of Dentsu India's media business.
Earlier, Nagesh was part of the team at INX Media. Prior to INX, Nagesh was executive vice-president, Insight (a part of the Lintas Media Group), managing brands such as Bajaj Auto, Idea Cellular and UTI Mutual Fund.
Speaking on his new assignment, Nagesh says, "Working with the combination of a global powerhouse called Dentsu and inspiring visionaries such as Sandeep, Rajesh and Ruchira, it can only result in winning any battle that one enters. I'm looking forward to working closely with the teams at Dentsu Media and changing paradigms."
In a career spanning 23 years, Nagesh has worked on various brands at leading agencies such as Lintas, Mudra, Ulka, MAA Bozell and Contract. He was also a part of the management team that set up WPP Marketing Communications (now called Group M) in India.
An electronic instrumentation graduate from Bombay University, Nagesh continues his tryst with academics by tutoring bright young minds as a guest faculty across more than 20 management institutes in India. First Published : August 04, 2009
