Pinto brings in eight years of experience in brand activation. At OgilvyAction, Pinto spent five years handling clients such as World Gold Council, Tata Housing, e-Serve, ICICI Venture, Vodafone, Pidilite, HSBC, Barclays and Taxsmile.

Pinto has also worked with Display House, an event management company for three years.

In a conversation with afaqs!, Pinto says, "There is always the growth factor one looks forward to. Moreover, there are better opportunities in a start-up company and being a part of a small team."

Vijaykumar, on the other hand, will now handle the western region as well. In his earlier role, he handled clients such as Tata GoldPlus, SPAR, SABMiller, Apple and Titan Eye Plus.

John Mathew, managing director and national creative director, Tequila India, says in a press statement, "I am sure the duo will make Tequila a robust marketing services force in Mumbai."

Focusing on Tequila's Mumbai operations which were started this year, Mathew says, "We are aggressively investing in Mumbai across functions. Tequila has acquired sizable business in Mumbai in the last two quarters, and is now a strong contender for several key accounts. Before the end of the year, we will also add considerable width to our offer by adding on new and relevant competencies."

He adds that Tequila already has the client servicing team in place in Mumbai, and the agency is now looking to build the creative team in this region.
