Vikram Malhotra quits Kingfisher

Malhotra was looking after the marketing function of the brand and is believed to have left to look for greener pastures

According to reliable sources, Vikram Malhotra, vice-president, marketing, Kingfisher Airlines has put in his papers. When contacted for an official nod on the decision, Malhotra did not comment.

However, speculation is rife that Malhotra would soon be assuming a new role and that he has quit Kingfisher in search of better opportunities.

A part of the industry for the last 10 years or so, Malhotra has been with Kingfisher for four years. Apart from heading the marketing function at Kingfisher Airlines, he also took care of the Force India Formula One Team.

Prior to that, Malhotra was group marketing manager at the UB Group (United Breweries). He has also worked as product manager at Tata Communications and as brand manager and national sales manager at SC Johnson India.

Malhotra is a management graduate from the University of Mumbai. He graduated in 1999.
