Sonal Dabral only Indian on London International Awards

Dabral has been a jury member on the awards show in 2007 and 2008 as well

This category will recognise ideas and execution without boundaries. An original idea with a relevant compelling execution that effectively creates new dialogues and new spaces of interaction, altering perceptions, setting new benchmarks that invite and reward at every level of engagement, will be honoured.

This year, there's only one Indian on the jury – Sonal Dabral, regional executive director, Bates 141, Singapore and chairperson, Bates 141 India.

He will judge entries in two categories – Integrated and Television/Cinema/Digital/Web/Mobile. Tham Khai Meng, worldwide creative director, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide is the president of both categories.

Last year, there was a larger representation from the Indian ad fraternity among the jury members, which included KV Sridhar, national creative director, Leo Burnett, India; Santosh Padhi, currently chief creative officer, TapRoot India; and Sajan Raj Kurup, chairperson and chief creative officer, Creativeland Asia.

Dabral has been on the London International Awards panel for the last two years. In addition, Dabral judged the Singapore Media Awards in 2006. In the past, he has also been a part of the juries in the International Andy Awards 2005 and the Times Asia Pacific Advertising Awards 2003.

The categories this year are Billboard, Poster, Design, Print, Digital, Radio, Integrated, Television/Cinema/Digital/Web/Mobile, Non—Traditional, Package Design and the 'NEW' category. Of these, only the Design and Package Design finalists have been announced.

Leo Burnett, Mumbai has a single finalist in the Design category for Tide Detergent.
