Lintas Media Group appoints Bosco D'Mello as executive vice-president

D'Mello has 20 years of work experience. He will head the Mumbai operations of LMG

Lintas Media Group (LMG) has appointed Bosco D'Mello as executive vice-president to head its Mumbai operations.

D'Mello will support and work along with NP Sathyamurthy, president and chief operating officer, LMG in an effort to take the organisation's offering to higher levels with the clients.

Earlier, D'Mello was head, marketing and communications, Reliance Money (the broking and financial services arm of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group).

He has 20 years of work experience, having worked across multiple sectors including advertising, retail, education and financial services. His forte lies in business development, marketing and communications. Besides Reliance Money, he has been associated with Grey Worldwide and the education and technology service provider, ILSF.

D'Mello says, "The effort will be geared towards bringing a wider marketing and business perspective to media planning, buying and execution. This will help us to partner clients more effectively, leading to all round brand development."

In a scenario where non-traditional media is growing exponentially, D'Mello looks forward to developing and driving brand properties for its clients in this space as well. This will allow LMG to offer greater value to its clients.

In an official communiqué, Lynn de Souza, chairperson and chief executive officer, LMG, says, "We are consciously bringing in different disciplines into the agency. D'Mello's diverse background in advertising, financial communication, education and unit management will lend a lot of width to our contribution in addressing the challenges our clients face."

Currently, LMG boasts of clients such as ITC, Maruti Udyog, Bajaj Auto, Idea Cellular, MRF, Sony, UTI and Tata Mutual Fund.
