ZenithOptimedia India announces two senior promotions on its fifth birthday

Ambika Srivastava is chairperson, while Satyajit Sen is the new CEO, India

ZenithOptimedia India, owned by Publicis Groupe, has made a major announcement on the occasion of its fifth birthday by promoting Ambika Srivastava, chief executive officer, as the new chairperson of the company. Srivastava is also the chairperson of VivaKi Media Exchange. Satyajit Sen, managing director, North, ZenithOptimedia has been named the CEO, India.

Under Srivastava's guidance, Zed Digital, Zenith Consult and Newcast were launched. The agency also added new clients such as Discovery Channel, Haier, Hyundai, Oberoi Hotels and the Videocon group.

"I have been a witness to Satyajit's zest and hard work for more than three years. By getting superior ROI (return on investment) over the years, he has made the agency really strong and sound," says Srivastava in a press statement.

In a career spanning 19 years, Sen has worked for brands in various categories such as telecom, finance, automobiles and FMCGs, including brands such as American Express, Dabur, Glaxo SmithKline and Proctor & Gamble.

Sen, in an official communiqué, says, "I have new challenges to conquer in my fresh position. Ambika has set benchmarks for people in the organisation. I look forward to carrying the legacy through stronger client relationships and by re-affirming commitment to ROI."

Srivastava worked with HTA (now JWT) for 14 years in the initial stages of her career. Subsequently, she worked with Lintas as associate director, strategic media planning. In 2002, she started her own venture, Strategic Mediaworks, which is now handled by a partner.
