Vynsley Fernandes bids farewell to INX Media

Vynsley Fernandes, group director, network operations, INX Media has submitted his resignation at the organisation. He has held the position since INX Media was launched in March 2007. Currently, he is serving his notice period at the organisation and will hand over responsibility in early 2010.

Fernandes also handled the transition during the sale of INX News in early 2009 and continued his responsibility at operations in INX Media thereafter. He has extended his role as a key member of the management team to reconstitute the business operations, while addressing the challenges in the media space.

Commenting on the development, Fernandes says, "We had a tough year since the economic slowdown started but the sale was taken care of this year, especially the transition that almost took three-four months. The whole process turned into a learning phase for all of us. However, now, INX Media, and particularly 9XM, has shown robust growth and so it is time to move on. The challenges are innumerable in the media space but one has to adapt to the media environment. I am going through a changeover and haven't decided the future course of action yet."

Before joining INX Media, Fernandes was associated with Tata Sky as a principal consultant. He has also served as operations director at STAR India.
