GEC Watch: Pavitra Rishta is the most watched show in Week 51

The show on Zee TV has garnered a TVR of 7.1

As per TAM Media Research data for Week 51, C&S 4+, HSM, Colors continues its dominance with 303 GRPs, while STAR Plus is 23 GRPs behind at 280. They have garnered relative channel shares of 22 and 20 per cent, respectively.

Zee TV with 271 GRPs, is at No. 3 in Week 51 and just 9 GRPs behind STAR Plus; it has also increased its share to 19 per cent. In the previous week, the channel had fetched 241 GRPs. Four of its shows are in the Top 10 list in the latest week. Its latest entrant, the new season of Dance India Dance, has recorded a TVR of 4.9.

At No. 4, Sony has a relative share of 13 per cent, and has garnered 179 GRPs. The channel had garnered 14 per cent share in Week 50. NDTV Imagine, at No. 5, is a good 89 GRPs behind Sony.

SAB is inching very close to Imagine and is separated currently by only 7 GRPs. DD1 and SAB command 6 per cent each of the overall GEC pie. STAR One follows with 3 per cent share in Week 51. Sahara One has garnered 2 per cent share, followed by 9X and STAR Utsav, which have managed to get 1 per cent share each.

On the list of 10 most watched programmes, Pavitra Rishta is at the top in Week 51, garnering a TVR of 7.1. In Week 50, the show had fetched a TVR of 6. Uttaran is the second most watched show with a TVR of 6.5; followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which has recorded a TVR of 6.2

Week 50's top rated show, Balika Vadhu has slipped to No. 4 in Week 51, garnering a TVR of 6.1. Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo has climbed up the chart to No. 5, with a TVR of 5.7.

The other shows on the list are: Bidaai, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Chhoti Bahu, Bairi Piya and the new entrant, Dance India Dance season 2.
