Josraj Arakkal joins Vizeum India as general manager

Vizeum India has roped in Josraj Arakkal as general manager, west. Earlier, Arakkal was associate director, media services, Triton Communications.

He comes on board with 23 years of work experience in media planning and buying in India and West Asia. Confirming the appointment, S Yesudas, managing director, Indian sub-continent, Vizeum, says, "We employ a completely different and non-traditional outlook towards clients' marketing issues. Therefore, we place our bet on talent, which has the right passion and relevant experience."

& #BANNER1 & #Earlier, Arakkal spent eight years in the Gulf, working for agencies such as Dynamic Advertising in Jeddah and Mindshare in Bahrain. At Dynamic, he served as media director for five years and at Mindshare, he was director, planning for three years.
He started his career with Rediffusion and moved on to agencies such as Mudra Communications, Karishma Advertising and Enterprise Nexus Communications.

He has a Masters degree in Marketing Management from Mumbai University and is a visiting faculty for media planning at MICA. About his new role, Arakkal says, "The primary objective is to grow and consolidate the Mumbai operations."

Vizeum India has set up offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai and has bagged clients such as BSA Motors, the ESSAR Group, Giovani, Luxor/Parker and iPlayUp. Recently, Vizeum appointed Harit Pant and EM Sreeneelakandhan as general managers for the North and South regions respectively. With this appointment, Vizeum has completed its first phase of forming a leadership team.
