Nandu Narasimhan joins Solutions Digitas as national creative director

Digital marketing agency, Solutions Digitas has appointed Nandu Narasimhan as national creative director. Narasimhan joined the agency from Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was the executive creative director for the Delhi and Bengaluru offices. He took charge at Solutions Digitas on January 04.

"There surely is the experience I bring from mainline advertising. For the past two years, I have been increasingly influenced by the new things that are happening outside mainstream advertising. For the first three months at Solutions Digitas, I plan to just learn," he adds.

Besides Saatchi & Saatchi, Narasimhan also has worked with Vyas Gianetti Creative, Lowe Lintas, TBWA, Contract Advertising and Grey Worldwide.

"Nandu is a talented, versatile and seasoned advertising professional. We believe that there is a lot that is required from communications agencies that go beyond the 30-second television spot on TV. It is this challenge that he finds exciting and this is where we at Solutions Digitas step in," says Kanika Mathur, chief executive officer and co-founder, Solutions Digitas.

Mathur is of the view that Narasimhan's skills in building brands can be leveraged by clients in the digital, shopper marketing and direct marketing/CRM space.

Narasimhan began his career as a copywriter in Tara Sinha Associates in 1989. He moved to Everest Brand Solutions, Delhi after a year. He joined Lowe (then Lintas) in 1993. Four years later, he went for a stint at TBWA and returned to Lowe after that.

He joined Contract after spending two years at Lowe. A stint as regional creative director in Grey Worldwide followed. In June 2006, he moved to Saatchi & Saatchi, which was his first stint at the agency. Narasimhan then moved to Vyas Gianetti Creative for a short stint, before returning to Saatchi & Saatchi as executive creative director in 2008.
