The TV Guidance channel, What's On India has appointed Nilesh Bhanushali as national revenue head. Prior to this, Bhanushali was the sales head at the radio station, My FM.
Commenting on Bhanushali's role and responsibilities, Atul Phadnis, chief executive officer, What's On India, tells afaqs!, "Being a category breaker and a new genre altogether, there is a constant need for our consumer TV guidance channel to clarify the model in the country. We are looking at various ways of guiding consumers and exploring ways of forwarding messages that various TV channels want to give out. Bhanushali is going to facilitate and drive the organisation's agenda of delivering TV channels' communication effectively to consumers."
Bhanushali has 15 years of work experience in advertising and sales. In his career span, he has worked with organisations such as Dainik Bhaskar, Filmy (the Hindi movie channel by Sahara Television) and Indian Express Group.
Elaborating on his new responsibilities at What's On India, Bhanushali shares, "Efforts will be geared towards creating revenue streams for the consumer channel through various means, such as commercial airtime, digital interface and exploring online space."
He adds, "Each broadcaster is unique in nature, having a variety of requirements. We have a host of product offerings for the industry and efforts will be directed towards increasing the acceptability of various sales products on offer."
