Tiwari comes in from Silvol India, where he was vice-president, marketing and sales
Kings XI Punjab, part of the eight participating teams in the DLF Indian Premier League, has brought on board Chandrabhan Tiwari as general manager, marketing.
With more than 11 years of experience in sales and marketing, Tiwari moves in from Silvol India, where he was vice-president, marketing and sales.
The team is held and promoted by a consortium which includes industrialists Mohit and Gaurav Burman, Karan Paul, Ness Wadia and actor Preity Zinta. Anil Srivatsa is the chief executive officer of Kings XI Punjab, while ex-Australian cricketer Tom Moody is its coach. The team is led by Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara.
Having begun his career as a trainee at Gillette India, Tiwari has also worked with Philips India, alcohol bigwig Diageo and VIP Industries.
"In the upcoming season of IPL, I am looking forward to expand and cement the team's leadership and build the fan base through various innovative promotions and initiatives intended for cricket lovers in India," Tiwari says.
