Rego's mandate includes making IBD India a full-service agency
Evarist Rego, chief operating officer of Perspectrum, has been promoted to the role of COO, IBD India. In this role, he will work towards streamlining the overall service offerings of the agency and generating new business opportunities across offices. He will report to Rahul Gupta, managing director.
His mandate is now to make IBD a full-service agency. He will play an important role in expanding the business and team to provide holistic solutions to IBD's clients.
As a first step, Rego has worked towards rebranding the company, by giving the brand identity a complete makeover.
"We were always known as IBD in the abbreviation form. But to make sure that people know IBD in its full avatar, we have now changed the entire brand identity of our division," Rego tells afaqs!.
Other major steps he plans to take involve consolidating businesses across the four offices, viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru; creating separate SBUs with defined targets; and getting the right people on-board.
Rego began his career in 1992 with an ad agency, Pressman Advertising. Since then, he has worked with agencies such as RK Swamy/BBDO, Publicis Ambience and Percept H. Later, he joined Linterland, a division of Lintas, as zonal manager in Mumbai.
He joined Perspectrum Consultancy in 2005 and has been instrumental in winning clients such as Ajmal Perfumes, Utssav Jewelers, Idea Cellular's activation business and Zicom.
The Integrated Brand Development (IBD) division of Percept-Hakuhodo offers creative solutions across the entire communication spectrum.
