Well placed sources in the industry inform afaqs! that FMCG major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has appointed Omnicom Media Group (OMG) as its digital agency on record (AoR). OMG will handle the digital media buying and planning for all HUL brands.
While Mindshare continues to be the traditional media AoR, HUL wanted a dedicated agency for the digital business. This development reemphasises HUL's focus on the digital medium. The company is expected to use digital advertising - search, display and mobile marketing - for more than 10 brands including Dove, Ponds, Axe, Lakme, Kwality Walls and Knorr.
HUL's digital media account is pegged at about Rs 30 crore.
