Murthi talks about his new role and responsibility at Fever 104. "Radio business is a new arena for me. In India, the radio industry is in a nascent stage. The whole business of radio is such that new technologies and innovative ways of marketing to reach consumers are myriad. My major role at the station would be to build listenership and create marketing solutions for the clients."

Murthi started his career in sales and marketing at Johnson and Johnson. A year later, he joined Cadbury India in the marketing space, and worked there for almost five years.

Murthi also tried his hand at being a domain consultant at Infosys Technologies, but that lasted for less than a year. Murthi was part of the core team that launched AOL in India. He worked as marketing head for the entire India section at AOL and his stint with the company lasted for two years.

Murthi's specialization lies in consumer marketing. He worked for two technology start-ups -- mChek and Go Mumbai -- in marketing consumer payment products. He worked as marketing director for mChek and served as head of business development and marketing for Go Mumbai. Altogether, he has worked in the consumer payment products space for three-and-a-half years.
