In November 2009, afaqs! reported that Uninor, a joint venture between India's real estate major Unitech and Norway based mobile services provider Telenor Group, appointed Navia Asia as its outdoor agency.

Now, the OOH (out of home) specialist arm of ZenithOptimedia has appointed Aman Chaudhary as national client services director, especially to handle the Uninor account. Based in Delhi, he will report to Gourav Tandon, chief operating officer, Navia Asia.

Chaudhary will lead the Uninor business, managing all the OOH advertising for the telecom brand, which has been launched in eight circles and will soon have a pan India presence. Chaudhary says, "Currently, the brand is in the process of creating visibility and outdoor will play a crucial role in this. In terms of the quality, which is a major challenge in outdoor, we will follow European standards to create a wow factor."

Earlier, Chaudhary was deputy general manager, Percept OOH. He has 15 years of experience, about half of which has been spent in the hospitality industry. In the last seven years, he has worked with big names in the outdoor industry, including Selvel, Portland Outdoor and Platinum Outdoor, understanding all aspects of OOH including printing, signage, acquisition and sale of media, besides planning and buying.

It is the specialist brand under which all VivaKi media companies in India - Starcom Worldwide, MediaVest Worldwide, ZenithOptimedia and Equinox - offer integrated out of home and ambient media solutions.

Navia has been operational in India for five years. It has a team of more than 150 professionals and a network spanning 32 cities in India.
