Mediacom bags media duties for Vasmol and Streax

The agency will handle the entire product portfolio of Hygienic Research Institute

Mediacom has bagged the media mandate for the entire Hygienic Research Institute (HRIPL) portfolio, which has more than 20 products under the brand names of Vasmol and Streax. These include hair colours, hair oils, shampoos, skin care products, decorative cosmetics and shaving cream.

Mediacom won this account following a multi-agency pitch. The account size is pegged to be around Rs 20 crore. The creative duties for the entire product portfolio will continue to be handled by Situations.

& #BANNER1 & #Confirming the development, Ashish Chhabra, executive director, HRIPL says that the company wanted to give a fresh perspective to all the brands, which is why the pitch was called.

Ashwini Kamat, general manager, Mumbai, Mediacom, says, "Strategic business inputs and innovative use of media are the reasons, we believe, that got HRIPL to entrust their brands to Mediacom. They showed confidence in our creative work, as well as our strategies for the products. We have started working on the plan for HRIPL's brands and would be actively operating from April 2010."

Established in 1957, Hygienic Research Institute has more than five decades of experience in the cosmetics industry.
