After a content overhaul in August last year, Channel V is set to launch seven new shows in a few days. These are daily shows at 7 pm, for all seven days of the week.

The seven shows over Monday to Sunday are Campus Top 10, Deadly Dus, [V] R Family, School of Cool, Lovenet, Truth Love Cash and Bollywood Nonsensex. Of these, Lovenet and Truth Love Cash are reality shows. The others are in the genre of Bollywood, relationships, campuses updates, fashion and so on.

Prem Kamath, general manager, Channel V India, says that the weekly fixture is an effort to consolidate the 7 pm time slot. "We don't want to limit the shows to weekends alone, but build a daily habit. The idea is to not just be a weekend destination, but a youth engagement channel," he adds.

The 7 pm slot is a strong one for most channels in this genre. The channel hopes to consolidate the 7 pm slot, extend it to neighbouring time slots, and thus, build a strong evening time band.

The channel will promote the new properties on-air as well as off-air, across print, digital, and outdoor. A four-city outdoor and print campaign with Mid-Day will be implemented with the '777' theme, implying the seven shows, seven days a week at 7 pm.

Channel V has partnered with Fame Cinemas and Café Coffee Day for on-ground presence. There will be promotions and handouts at Fame Cinemas and the promotional video will be played on digital screens at Café Coffee Day outlets.

The channel has partnered with close to 19,000 cyber cafes in seven markets. In these cyber cafes, the desktops and homepages will be branded, such that the first thing a user will see is the promo.
