Viacom18 has announced promotions for Ferzad Palia and Jaideep Singh. Palia has become channel head at Vh1; while Singh will be the national head - sales at MTV.
Palia started his career at JWT and worked there for almost six years, handling below-the-line activities for HUL brands, such as Axe, Sunsilk, Lakmé and Lux. Thereafter, he worked at CNBC for over a year as marketing head. Palia joined Viacom18 even before Vh1 was launched in India.
Singh has been associated with Viacom18 for close to four years. Previously, he was the head - sales for the north and east region, MTV.
Now, as the national head - sales, Singh will be responsible for MTV sales revenues across all markets, in addition to the pan-regional sales for the brand. Singh will continue reporting to Aditya Swamy, senior vice-president - marketing and sales, MTV India.
Singh is an ex-army major of armoured corp, and served at Siachen Glacier and the Kargil War for nearly six years. His first civilian job was with JK Tyres in sales and marketing, where he worked with CII on an agri-services project.
Before joining MTV, Singh worked with Radio Mirchi, where he was instrumental in setting up the Mirchi Activation Division in Northern region.
