Prasad replaces Apurva Purohit, who held the post for two years
Anurradha Prasad, chairperson and managing director, BAG Infotainment, was elected president of Association of Radio Operators of India (AROI). Earlier, Apurva Purohit, chief executive officer, Radio City handled the post for two years. The presidency rotates every two years at AROI.
Purohit says, "As per the constitution, I completed two years at AROI and have to say that during my tenure, a lot of effort was put in by the players aligned to causes. For example, one was getting political advertisement approved on radio. I am sure that Anurradha will carry on the same legacy."
Founded in 2007, AROI is the elected body of members of the radio industry that represent common views to the government.
