Rohini Gauthaman joins RK Swamy BBDO as GM, Delhi

Rohini Gauthaman has joined RK Swamy BBDO as general manager, New Delhi, Media Direction. She will report to Les Margulis, president, Media Direction.

Media Direction is RK Swamy BBDO's media arm.

For Gauthaman, the new assignment turns out to be her second stint at RK Swamy BBDO. Earlier, she has worked for the organisation at its Chennai office in 1994.

Talking to afaqs!, Gauthaman says, "My key mandate at the organisation includes business development and overall management of the Delhi branch. At LMG, I was involved with the planning function, whereas at RK Swamy BBDO, the focus will be on getting business and handling clients."

Gauthaman has 15 years of industry experience and calls her stint at LMG and other places a process of collective learning, which have all helped her map her career with hope and belief of successfully exploring broader areas of work. She has considerable exposure in data interpretation and has worked across markets, giving strategic direction to discerning clients.

Besides LMG, she has also been associated with Allied Media and Hakuhodo (both part of the Percept Group), Mindshare and Enterprise. During her long stints at various agencies, she has worked with clients such as Maruti Suzuki, Luxor, BILT, PVR Cinema, JVC, Panasonic, Yamaha Pianos, Canon, Toshiba, Konica, Sony and DuPont.
