MTV reloads Stunt Mania II with a Rockathan

The Rockathon will be held in six places, namely Delhi, Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai and Shillong

MTV will be back soon with the second edition of its original show, Pulsar MTV Stunt Mania. The new season of the reality stunt biking show will be known as Pulsar MTV Stunt Mania Reloaded.

The last season saw 12 biking enthusiasts performing amazing stunts on their Pulsar bikes. This time, too, the show will witness some adrenalin-pumping stunt biking, high on action and adventure. The format of the show remains more or less the same; but this time, the show promises to double the thrill and adventure quotient by offering the audience a combination of biking and rock music.

Talking to afaqs!, Aditya Swamy, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, MTV India, says, "The second season of the show will undoubtedly witness more qualified and accomplished stunts by participants. To create more excitement, this year, we have brought together two of the greatest passions of youth -- biking and music -- together."

Swamy adds, "We have chosen the genre of rock music, as it gels very well with a high-energy sport such as stunt biking. Thus, we will have a rock music festival in as many as six cities, where various rock bands will perform at audition venues for the show."

The Rockathon will be held in six cities, namely Delhi, Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai and Shillong. The auditions for Stunt Mania Reloaded will be held over two days at each venue. The first day will be reserved for group discussions; whereas the biking skills of the participants will be put to test on the second day.

A day-long carnival will accompany the auditions in each of the six cities. While rock band, Parikrama will perform live; and the biking group, Ghost Riderz will display some stunning stunts; B-boying, Paintball and a bike workshop hosted by VJ Rannvijay will also add to the fun.

Commenting on the second edition of the reality show, Milind Bade, general manager, Bajaj Auto, says, "The association with MTV has been fruitful, given that MTV genuinely understands youth; and we, as an auto brand, have a complete understanding of bikes. The coming together of the two brands created a platform, giving us an opportunity to engage with our TG in a reverent manner."

Bade further suggests that the reality show's central plank is the mean machine – bikes, which turns out to be a perfect brand fit for Bajaj Auto. The brand is using the whole property to offer an enriched brand experience for the consumers.

The automobile manufacturer has taken the show beyond TV, by extending its association with MTV and youth on-ground. Stunt Mania is now a year-round property, as Bajaj Auto has associated with 12 youth festivals at colleges.

Bade shares that a crowd of about 5,000 people is expected at each of the concerts.
