Zapak appoints Sanjay Vasudeva as head, national ad sales

Vasudeva has a total work experience of about 20 years; of which he has spent five years in the online media space

Zapak Digital Entertainment has roped in Sanjay Vasudeva as head, national ad sales. Vasudeva will be responsible for the ad sales for all businesses --, Zapak Gameplex and Zapak live, the activation arm.

He has replaced Chirag Shah, who recently quit Zapak to join the UTV group at a senior level.

Vasudeva has a total work experience of about 20 years. For the last five years, Vasudeva was with Times Internet as assistant vice-president, digital sales. Before that, he spent eight years in traditional media (Ananda Bazar Patrika and Navbharat Times) ad sales. He has also worked with companies such as Parle, GE and Apollo Tyres.

On his appointment, Vasudeva says, "Gaming is an exciting, new segment in the digital space, which is yet to be tapped to its potential. Zapak's positioning, market leadership and enthusiasm makes it a very exciting place for me to be in."

In an official communiqué, Arun Mehra, chief operating officer, Zapak Digital Entertainment, says, "With his extensive experience in digital sales, Vasudeva will now lead the team to deliver profitable revenue growth at the national level."
