The awards receive entries from across Asia-Pacific
Saurabh Dasgupta, executive creative director, Innocean Worldwide and Ambika Sharma, national head, Jagran Solutions have been appointed to judge Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia (PMAA) 2010.
The PMAA award is about innovations done in the area of promotion. It takes into account the idea, as well as the execution and the results of that idea. The awards give significant weight to the results of the campaign.
Last year, the PMAA submissions were up 32 per cent across categories.
Dasgupta has been in the advertising industry for more than 15 years and has worked for Mudra and Leo Burnett in Delhi. Last year, he also judged the MAA awards. Earlier, Dasgupta has had stints in the jury for the New York Festivals.
Sharma, who is the zonal director for India for the PMAA, has also served as a judge at the PMAA and MAA International Awards.
The PMAA will be judged in 16 categories. The categories are: Integrated Communications Campaign; Sponsorship or Tie-In Campaign; Use Of Direct Marketing and CRM in a Promotion Campaign, Innovative Idea or Concept; Digital Communications Campaign; Brand Building Campaign; Business To Business Campaign; Trade Marketing, Retail Specific or Channel Specific Campaign; Event or Experiential Marketing Campaign; Activity Generating Short or Long Term Brand Loyalty; Use of the Internet, Viral or Social Marketing In a Promotion Marketing Campaign; Dealer or Sales Force Activity; Brand Awareness And Trial Campaign; Activity Generating Brand Volume; Cause or Charity Marketing Campaign; and Small Budget Campaign.
Subsequently, the winning entries will participate in the MAA global awards.
Last year, India won 23 awards at the PMAA. The agencies that bagged the awards were Jagran Solutions, Solutions Digitas, Tequila India, Encompas, Hungama, Dentsu Communications, Digital Radio (Mumbai) Broadcasting, Mudra Communications, Candid Marketing and Netscribes India.
