Rediffusion Mumbai bags two silver Pencils at The One Show 2010

The awards are in the Collateral- Posters, POP and In-store-Single category

Rediffusion Y&R (Mumbai)'s Harry Potter and Avatar for Seventymm have won two silver Pencils in the Collateral: Posters, POP and In-store-Single category at The One Show Awards held in New York City. A total of 37 entries from India had been shortlisted in The One Show, 2010. Rediffusion Y&R (Gurgaon)'s Exorcism for Kenwood (singer) was also shortlisted in the same category.

The creative team of Rediffusion Y&R (Mumbai) which worked on Seventymm (a movie rental portal) included Tony Pereira (creative director); Elrid Carvalho (copy); Suketu Gohel (art) and Shirish Dichkar (photography).

According to the creative team, the brief of the campaign was to announce a promotional offer - Rent one, Get one free - that Seventymm always wanted to introduce to increase subscriptions.

Keegan Pinto, creative partner, Rediffusion Mumbai has also won a Pencil for his work, Soap Card, for The Backpacker Co., which was entered in an independent capacity.

The prestigious Green Pencil Award was won by Bergh's School of Communication and Stockholm University of Sweden; while BBH/London bagged the Best of Show award for the Johnnie Walker short film, The Man Who Walked Around the World.

Three entries from India, Karigari Design and Bates 141 from Mumbai; and Out of the Box from Delhi also won bronze Pencils at The One Show Design 2010.

The One Show Awards recognise creativity in advertising across TV, print, radio, design, interactive and new media.
