Dinesh Gulati replaces Rajiv Jaitly at Indian Express

Gulati has joined the media house as executive vice-president

Dinesh Gulati, former chief sales and customer experience officer of the UAE-based telecom brand Etisalat, has joined The Express Group as executive vice-president. At Indian Express, he replaces Rajiv Jaitly, who left the company earlier this month.

Jaitly was president, marketing at the company, and handled advertising and sales related responsibilities. Prior to joining Indian Express, Jaitly was associated with Bhaskar Group as president, marketing and ad sales, where he spent little more than a year.

With 24 years of experience, Jaitly has worked across sectors such as media, FMCG and telecom. In his earlier stint, he was the CEO, Punjab circle, Bharti Airtel. He was also associated with Modi Xerox, STAR TV, MESAT Broadcast Network System, Pepsi Foods and Data Access. At STAR, he handled sales for the Northern region.

In his new role, Gulati will be responsible for the functioning of space marketing and circulation of the newspaper.

Prior to the new assignment, Gulati was associated with Etisalat for over a year. In his 19-year career, Gulati has handled various responsibilities, including managing a profit centre, marketing, finance, sales, and customer service. He was also associated with Reliance Communication for around six years; and the last position he held at the company was that of CEO, West.

He has also worked with Bharti Televentures and Kodak India during his career. Gulati holds a B Tech degree and an MBA degree from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS).
