Media Contacts wins digital duties of JetAir Tours

The digital media arm of Havas Media, Media Contacts, has bagged the digital duties of JetAir Tours, a destination management company that is a subsidiary of JetAir. The agency won the account after a pitch process, which involved three digital agencies.

This is the first time that JetAir Tours has roped in a digital agency. Earlier, the travel firm handled digital marketing on its own. Media Contacts will handle both digital creative and media duties for JetAir Tours.

Digital marketing will be used to build the brand and extract sales leads for JetAir Tours. "The digital campaign will promote both domestic and international tour packages, and online hotel bookings offered by the travel firm," says Arnab Mitra, director, Media Contacts (India).

To begin with, the agency will start a search marketing campaign with about 10,000 keywords across Google and Yahoo search platforms, and will place social ads on Facebook.

"Later, we have plans to roll out banner advertising and carry out an e-mail marketing campaign. Social media and mobile marketing are also on the cards. The agency may develop a special travel-related mobile application for high-end smart phones," Mayur Sethi, associate director, media acquisitions, Media Contacts (India) tells afaqs!. He, however, declined to disclose JetAir Tours' advertising spends on the digital medium.

Media Contacts already handles digital marketing duties for advertisers such as Bank of Baroda, KLM Airlines and Capgemini, a France-based IT services firm.
