Suresh Bala, chief executive officer, Zoom Entertainment Network has moved out of the organisation. June 15 was his last working day at the channel's office. Bala had been with the company for the past four years.
He calls his stint at Zoom satisfying. "From struggling to sustain and being considered a serious business, to becoming profitable and carving out a clear positioning in the market, Zoom has come a long way," he states.
Bala has 30 years of work experience, of which 18 years have been in advertising and the rest in television. He has had two television stints in India at Channel V, where he joined as general manager. Subsequently, he moved to Canada, where he worked for Canadian Broadcast and Comcast in the US.
Sunil Lulla, managing director and chief executive officer, Times Global Broadcasting, in an email response, says, "We have not made any announcement on the chief executive officer (to replace Bala) at Zoom Entertainment Network. Suresh Bala has only recently stepped down for personal pursuits."
