DMRC opens Lajpat Nagar-Badarpur line for ads

The ad rights for the 12 stations on the route will be awarded for a period of five years

As Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is opening more stretches, there has been a surge in the number of tenders being floated for advertising rights. The latest to open is the tender for advertisement rights inside 12 stations from Lajpat Nagar to Badarpur.

The 12 stations on the route are Lajpat Nagar, Mool Chand, Kailash Colony, Nehru Place, Kalkaji Mandir, Govind Puri, Okhla, Jasola, Sarita Vihar, Mohan Estate, Tughlakabad and Badarpur. License for the sites will be awarded for a period of five years. The total ad space at the 12 stations is 2,400 sq. m, where each station has about 200 sq. m of dedicated ad space.

The advertising media should be fire retardant, low smoke, zero halogen material and comply with all Indian and international standards.

As per the terms of the license agreement, the licensee is required to identify sites, fabricate, install, commission, maintain, manage and license the use of the advertisement panels or spaces in the approved areas within these 12 stations.

The cost of the tender is document is Rs 5,250 and the earnest money deposit (EMD) for the tender is Rs 10 lakh.

The last date for submission of the sealed tender documents is August 13 (by 3:30 pm).
