The agency will manage the three-day Bengali festival, to be held at Los Angeles during September 4-6
Ananda Bazaar Patrika (ABP) has appointed Impact Marketing Services to plan and conceptualise Ananda Utsav, a three-day festival to be held during September 4-6 at Pasadena Convention Center, Los Angeles. The agency managed the show last year as well, after its events division was set up.
Ananda Utsav aims to reach non-resident Bengalis around the world and offer them a glimpse of true Bengali culture.
Ananda Utsav, this year, will be a three-day showcase of Bengali culture, crafts, cuisine and entertainment, targeted at non-resident Bengalis residing in northern California. Menon adds, "In the northern part of California, there are many Bengalis, who are deprived of the taste of the culture. This initiative is made for them -- they can take part in the festival and celebrate the culture."
The show will have three components - exhibition, Bengali cuisine and live performances by celebrities from India and Bangladesh. Prominent celebrities such as Sunidhi Chauhan, Sharmila Tagore, Soha Ali Khan, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons, Amaan and Ayaan, Usha Uthup, Hariharan and many more from the Kolkata film industry will be part of the festival.
Impact Marketing Services has done several shows in Germany, Italy, Dubai, Syria, Bhutan and Russia. The agency's clients include Cisco Systems, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Jindal Steel, Jharkhand Tourism, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT), Videocon International and Petrotech.
