The company has bagged the rights for a period of three years, and would pay a license fee of Rs 21 lakh per month. Three agencies, apart from Katha, participated in the tender, namely, Jagson Publicity, Prithvi Ads and Big Street. Earlier, Jagson Publicity had the advertising rights for PUNBUS.

Advertising options on the buses include concept bus campaigns and full bus wraps. Krishnendu Sen, chairman, Katha Group says, "These outdoor mediums will attract more advertisers to put up creative campaigns for maximum reach."

PUNBUS is a division of Punjab Roadways that provides modern facilities in the public transport sector. In Punjab, these buses traverse 2.77 lakh km everyday on different state and inter-state routes. Over 5 lakh passengers use these buses daily.

This is the first time the company would work with Punjab Roadways; though it has earlier worked with UP and Uttaranchal Roadways.

The company's other clients include HUL, Airtel, BSNL, ABN Amro, Bajaj Auto, DHL, Gillette, Globus and M&M.
