Kaya appoints Ignitee Digital for social media marketing

The skin-care brand owned by Marico, Kaya Skin Clinic has appointed digital agency, Ignitee Solutions to handle its social media marketing. Kaya's social media duties were earlier handled by Mumbai-based social media agency, Windchimes Communications.

The company has appointed Ignitee Solutions on retainer basis. Kaya's digital media planning and buying is managed by Starcom IP; while Optima Advertising takes care of search marketing for the brand.

Speaking to afaqs!, Suvodeep Das, head, marketing, Kaya, says, "We will use social media to converse and engage with our target audience. This will include dissemination of general information related to skin, cosmetics and healthcare through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs and forums." A bloggers' outreach program is also on the cards.

Das adds, "The company plans not to use social media for direct and push marketing of Kaya products and services. Instead, its own doctors will be assigned the responsibility to converse and answer skin-care related queries that consumers will ask across various social media platforms."

Kaya is already present on Facebook (Facebook.com/Kayaskinclinics) and Twitter (Twitter.com/Kayaskinclinics).

In an official communiqué, Shankar B, chief operating officer, Ignitee Digital Solutions says, "Since inception, we have always worked on campaigns that have added value to customers. It is this history that has helped us in gaining the trust of reputed names from the industry. We are certain that with the talent and minds at Ignitee, we will see these wins increasing even further."
