GEC Watch: Colors' share declines in Week 38

The channel has lost 58 GRPs in Week 38 over the previous week, according to TAM report

STAR Plus, the numero uno channel, has increased its relative share in the Hindi general entertainment genre from 26.6 per cent in Week 37 to 27.5 per cent in Week 38 (C&S, 4+, HSM). It has garnered 378 GRPs; and six of its shows have made it to the top 10 this week.

Colors, at No. 2, has seen a decline in share. In Week 37, the channel had garnered 21 per cent share, which has now reduced to 18.6 per cent. It has lost 58 GRPs over last week, ending up with 256 GRPs in Week 38. Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi, which has garnered an average TVR of 2.7, does not feature in the top 10 list in this week.

At No. 3, Zee TV has garnered a relative share of 16.5 per cent, with 227 GRPs. Only Pavitra Rishta on the GEC has made it to the top 10 in the latest week. Sony has maintained its No. 4 position, with a relative share of 13 per cent.

SAB, at No. 5, has increased its share to 9 per cent, followed by Imagine TV, which has recorded a relative share of 6.4 per cent, higher than last week. STAR One has garnered a 4 per cent share; followed by Sahara One, which has garnered a share of 2 per cent.

STAR Utsav and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 1.6 and 1.5 per cent, respectively.

On the list of 10 most watched programmes on Hindi GECs, Pratigya rules at No. 1, with a TVR of 6. It is followed closely by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, also on STAR Plus, which has a TVR of 5.9.

Pavitra Rishta on Zee is the third most watched programme, recording a TVR of 5. Both Uttaran and Balika Vadhu on Colors share the No. 4 spot, garnering a TVR of 4.5 each. Tere Liye and Bidaai on STAR Plus have garnered a TVR of 4.4 each.

The other shows on the list are: Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Sasuraal Genda Phool and Saathiya Saath Nibhana.
