Media Contacts wins X-Trade Brokers' digital account

Poland based online brokerage firm X-Trade Brokers is gearing up to launch a digital marketing campaign comprising of search, banner and social media

Havas Media's digital agency, Media Contacts, has won the digital business of Poland based financial firm X-Trade Brokers ( in India.

X-Trade Brokers is one of the largest brokerage houses dealing in foreign exchange, commodities and stock market investments in the Central and East European region. It has presences in more than 20 countries and launched its operations in India in January 2010.

Speaking to afaqs!, Arnab Mitra, director, Media Contacts, India, says, "We will help X-Trade Brokers to build its brand in India and also assist it in acquiring customers through digital marketing."

For the same, the digital agency plans to launch search marketing and display advertising campaigns. "A search marketing campaign using 35,000 keywords related to stock trading and finance will be executed on Google and Yahoo search engines. Search marketing will be carried out throughout the year."

Mayur Sethi, associate director, media acquisition, Media Contacts, says, "A banner ad campaign will also be launched soon on various financial and online trading related sites to promote and create awareness about X-Trade Brokers."

Apart from search and display advertising, Media Contact will also handle the social media presence of the financial firm in the country.

Sethi declined to comment on the amount of money that will be routed to digital marketing. However, as per industry estimates, X-Trade Brokers may spend up to Rs 2 crore on digital marketing annually to build its presence in India.

Piotr Drzewiecki, vice-director, XTB India, says, "Media Contacts will play a crucial role in our marketing strategy for the Indian market. It will help us to design and implement our campaign in India. We have already started working on the campaign."
