Abhishake Das appointed creative director at Tribal DDB

Das brings with him more than seven years of experience in the digital front, which includes working on a broad spectrum of categories such as automotive, telecom, FMCG, fashion and NGO.

Tribal DDB India has appointed Abhishake Das as creative director. This is his second stint at the agency. He will head the creative function with a strategic approach and will be based in Mumbai. Das will work on brands such as Volkswagen, Idea Cellular and Wrigley, among others.

He will report to Max Hegerman, president, Tribal DDB India.

Earlier, Das was working at the Delhi office of Zed Digital, the interactive arm of ZenithOptimedia. He has more than seven years of experience in the digital front, which includes working on a broad spectrum of categories such as automotive, telecom, FMCG, fashion and NGOs.

Das says, "Joining Tribal DDB again is like coming back home. This place has always been, and will always be, the only true-blue digital agency. It is in its DNA and I'm really excited to be one with it once again."

Hegerman says in an official communiqué, "I am very excited to have Abhishake in the Tribal DDB India team. We have communicated for some time and I am greatly impressed with his energy, ideas and his passion for all things digital. I am glad that our growth this year has put us in a position to add someone like Abhishake to our leadership team."

Earlier, Das has worked on some big brands such as VW, Puma, Hyundai, Adidas, Uninor, Lufthansa, Nescafe, Intel and Microsoft.

He started his career with ab&m communication and then worked with agencies such as Oxygen Communication and Tribal DDB as senior copywriter for a brief period. After this, he shifted to McCann Worldgroup as creative supervisor and from there, moved to TBWA Tequila as associate creative director.
