Ghosh joins from Bates 141 Delhi, where he was vice-president, handling brands such as Max Bupa, Hitachi and Radico.

IBD India, a Percept Hakuhodo company, has appointed Kaushik Ghosh senior vice-president and the head of its Mumbai branch. Ghosh moves in from Bates 141 Delhi, where he served as vice-president, working on brands such as Max Bupa, Hitachi and Radico.

This is Ghosh's second stint with a Percept agency, after having begun his career in 1998 with the company.

"It is always challenging to be in an agency, taking it to the next level and bringing in qualitative change. My job is to bring about the change that both the internal and external audience can see and believe in," Ghosh tells afaqs!.

Besides Percept, Ghosh has worked with other agencies such as Network Advertising, Leo Burnett and Euro RSCG before moving to Delhi to Bates 141. He has worked across categories on brands such as Bajaj, SET Max, Tata AIG, HDFC and Thomas Cook, among others.

Rahul Gupta, managing director, IBD India, says, "We are handling some important brands in Delhi and are looking to grow in Mumbai. Organic as well as inorganic growth is important to us. It is time we got some senior resource here. With his experience and knowledge, Kaushik will fit well with the agency."

IBD India, which was formed after Percept Holdings acquired By Design India in 2007, handles brands across categories such as fashion, lifestyle, fast moving consumer goods, media and hospitality, among others.

In Delhi, the agency works on brands such as Panasonic, Catch Masalas, Omaxe and Tupperware, while the Mumbai portfolio includes Taj Hotels, Siyaram's, J. Hampstead, K. Raheja Corp and others.
