The incumbent on the account is JWT.

Online travel portal, Cleartrip, has assigned its creative duties to Publicis Capital. The development is the result of a multi-agency pitch.

For the past year and a half, Cleartrip has not been very active on the communication front. Prior to this, back in 2008, JWT handled the brand's creative duties. The media agency on the account is OMD.

Madan Mohan, executive vice-president, Publicis Capital, Mumbai conveys in an official communiqué, "The challenge was to change the conversations, while keeping in mind that the category is driven by price. This win is the culmination of the passion and the talent of the team at Publicis Capital."

Niraj Seth, chief marketing officer, Cleartrip, led this appointment. He explains in a press statement, "Publicis Capital's pitch clearly showcased the DNA it had to translate the vision of our brand."

In conversation with afaqs!, Seth offers, "At the moment, the agency's immediate role will be to take the brand forward, to the next level. It is too early to talk about the upcoming campaign."

Emmanuel Upputuru, national creative director, Publicis Capital, tells afaqs! that the upcoming campaign is slated to be a highly visible one on all fronts. He adds that the teams in Mumbai and Delhi have done the agency proud by winning this account. "I have worked with Seth before and I know that he sets very high standards. I am pretty excited and we have great expectations from this partnership," he says.
