Media consulting sales and marketing company Aidem Ventures has appointed M Suku as executive vice-president. Earlier, Suku was with the Reliance ADA Group, where he was head of media and alliances.

As part of his new mandate, Suku will help position Aidem as a pure media services company, rather than an ad-sales focused organisation.

Speaking to afaqs!, Suku says, "While the industry took quite some time to reach a size of approximately Rs 25,000 crore, it will take only five more years to append an additional Rs 25,000 crore, with new players coming in and new platforms emerging. Therefore, there is a huge potential to be tapped.

"I have joined Aidem at an exciting time - when it is still in its growth phase and shall work with the team to expand and implement the company's growth plans."

Raj Nayak, managing director, Aidem Ventures, says, "At Aidem, Suku will be a part of the core management team. His extensive knowledge and experience in the industry will strengthen Aidem's business expansion strategy."

Suku is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in business development, contract negotiation and strategic planning, buying and media assessment. He has worked with companies such as Lintas, Colgate, JWT, Ogilvy, Unilever (Secondment) ABCL, Eenadu and GroupM.

As national director at GroupM, he set up Broadmind (now GroupM ESP) from scratch into a significant contribution of entrepreneurs, revenues, profits and awards. The Broadmind Indian business model was recognised and adopted regionally and globally. He moved to GroupM Singapore, overseeing the ESP division in a regional role covering 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Currently, Aidem has offices in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune.
