Sanjay Banerjee is Raj TV's national head for sales and marketing

Delhi-based Banerjee would be responsible for the channel's all India sales operations.

Raj Television Network has promoted Sanjay Banerjee, associate vice-president to national head, sales and marketing. He would be based in Delhi and will report to M Regunathan, director, Raj TV Network. Banerjee would head the all India sales operations, including managing the channel's operations in the north, east, south and west. In effect, he would be looking after the channel's growing business in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

Speakinq to afaqs! about his promotion, Banerjee says, "My sole aim would be to generate more revenue for Raj Television Network, making the channel a better brand. In order to consolidate our business, we are adopting more aggressive marketing strategies. This would involve extensive travel throughout the year as I would now be looking after the operations across the country."

Says M Regunathan, director, Raj TV Network, "Sanjay has been with us for over 4 years. He is extremely hardworking and very diligent. His relationship building capability is superb, which is why, even though he's Delhi-based and we are headquartered in Chennai, we chose him for the post."

Sanjay joined Raj Network in December 2006 as general manager (North) and was eventually elevated to the post of associate vice-president for north and east operations in December 2008. An alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Sanjay has an experience of 19 years in the field of media sales, including 10 years in the television segment. He began his career in 1991 with The Indian Express. He has also worked with Chitralekha and The Pioneer.

In 2000, he joined Jain TV as manager, sales, and was subsequently promoted to the post of general manager. Thereafter, he moved to CVO as general manager, advertising.
