Bloomberg UTV appoints Shailesh Wad to drive Pulse nationally

Wad will report to Siddharth Narula, vice-president, Pulse sales and will be responsible for growing the sales revenues of the unit on a national scale.

Bloomberg UTV has roped in Sailesh Wad as associate vice-president for its non-traditional revenue generation outfit, Pulse, which attempts to create customised brand solutions for its clients.

In his new capacity, Wad will report to Siddharth Narula, vice-president, Pulse, and will be responsible for growing the sales revenue of the outfit on a national scale, while maintaining its sustainability across the country.

Speaking to afaqs!, Deepak Lamba, business head, Bloomberg UTV says, "The Pulse unit of Bloomberg UTV has been a significant revenue driver for the channel and a key focus area. To supplement the growth efforts, the channel has appointed Shailesh Wad as the associate vice-president, Pulse, to handle the sales function nationally. "

Wad comes with over 12 years of work experience with about 10 years in media, handling various sales streams in Web, print, international marketing and TV ad sales. He was most recently with the Network18 group as senior account director of CNN-IBN, IBN7 and IBN Lokmat. He was also a core member of the IBN7 launch team and has worked with CNBC TV18 in the past.
