Conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather, the television commercial featuring the brand ambassadors will be on air from mid-February.
Taking a cue from the recent Nescafe campaign featuring actors Purab Kohli and Deepika Padukone, Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has signed actors Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as brand ambassadors for its coffee brand, Bru.
Conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather, the television commercial will be on air from mid-February. Speaking on the association, Priyanka Chopra says, "A great cup of coffee is my constant companion whether at work or at play! That's what makes my association with Bru that much more special. It's a perfect fit." Says Shahid Kapoor, "I am a coffee addict and it is a great opportunity to endorse the brand."
In August last year, HUL had tied up with the film Aisha to promote the brand through consumer engagement activities. Earlier in 2007, HUL had signed director Karan Johar as the brand ambassador for the launch of Ice Cappuccino.
It was in 1962 that Brooke Bond India first introduced the branded roast and ground coffee segment with the Deluxe Green Label. In 1968, it introduced the instant coffee chicory mix, under the brand name Bru.
