Suman Srivastava, CEO, Euro RSCG India on his way out

Sources confirm that Srivastava has put in his papers at the agency and is currently serving his notice period.

Suman Srivastava, chief executive officer, Euro RSCG India, has put in his papers. Currently, Srivastava is also functioning as head, strategic planning for India and West Asia for Euro RSCG.

He is serving his notice period, which shall last for the next three months. Although no official confirmation could be obtained for the same, informed sources close to the situation have given their nod on the development.

Srivastava had been functioning as CEO at the agency since June, 2006. Earlier, he has held positions such as president and executive director of the agency at various points.

Srivastava was one of the founder members of Euro RSCG India and was the head of its Mumbai office, before spearheading the strategic planning function of the agency for India and West Asia.

Originally aspiring to be a journalist, Srivastava started his career in advertising with Lintas India in 1987, where he spent seven years. He then moved on to SSC&B Lintas in 1994 and helped set up the agency from scratch as associate vice-president, along with Ajay Chandwani.

An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Srivastava brings with him rich years of experience in strategic planning. At Euro RSCG, a key hallmark moment for him was cracking the SET Max 'Deewana Bana De' campaign, which was all about the role of television in a person's life.

Srivastava is a member of the global executive committee of Euro RSCG. He has also been a member of Euro RSCG's Global Planning Council and chairperson of the Emerging Markets Planning Council. He led Euro RSCG's studies on 'Remixed Generation', which was carried out in India, China, Mexico and Brazil.

During his stint at Lintas, Srivastava has worked on several Unilever brands. He has been closely involved in insightful communication strategy with food and beverage, FMCG, consumer durable, software, dotcom and financial service brands.

Srivastava has spent close to 15 years at Euro RSCG.
