Arindam Sarkar joins Mudra, Delhi, as head of planning

Sarkar is moving from BBDO India where he was vice-president, planning to Mudra's Delhi branch as head of planning.

Arindam Sarkar is set to join Mudra's Delhi brand as head, planning. He will be moving from BBDO India's Delhi office, where he was head, planning. At BBDO, Sarkar was responsible for accounts such as PepsiCo (which includes Nimbooz, 7UP and Quaker Oats), Aviva and Gillette, and other existing accounts.

The movement has been confirmed by senior sources at the agency on the condition of anonymity.

Sarkar, who has over 10 years of experience, started his career in the year 2000 as group account manager with McCann Erickson. After working at McCann for three years, he moved to EMI Music India as label manager - International. He worked as an independent creative consultant for a while after that.

In 2006, he joined Euro RSCG as director, planning. At Euro, he worked for less than a year, shifting to Ogilvy India as senior planning director. At Ogilvy India, where he worked for about three-and-a-half years, Sarkar handled businesses such as Coke and Max Life. He moved to BBDO in 2010, as vice-president, planning.
