TME appoints Chetan Ahuja as GM, Mumbai

TME has roped in Chetan Ahuja as general manager for its Mumbai operations. Earlier, Ahuja was media director, Media Direction.

D Rajappa, president, Rediffusion Y&R, says in an official communiqué, "Chetan brings with him a sound and robust understanding of media and strategic planning, born out of a rich experience spanning more than 13 years in the industry. We are confident that he will lead the TME Mumbai team effectively and add value to our clients' brands through impactful media solutions."

Commenting on his new role, Ahuja says, "I look forward to a successful endeavour with TME. I hope to contribute to the best of my abilities and help the agency achieve continued success."

Armed with about 13 years of experience, Ahuja has worked on brands such as LIC Nomura, Rasna, Siemens, Bajaj Auto, DSP Merrill Lynch, Parle, Pidilite and Mahindra Tractors.

Speaking on his mandate, Ahuja tells afaqs!, "My immediate mandate is to add value and offer the best media strategies to our esteemed clients. I also look forward to showcasing my team's talents."

Ahuja began his career with M:Ideas as a media planner and went on to work with Media Vision (a division of JWT), Triton Communications, Interface Communications, India Today and the Bhaskar Group, respectively.

He was responsible for planning marcom activities and tie-ups with media properties for various clients, including account planning of media houses such as the India Today Group and the Bhaskar Group.

Ahuja is a post-graduate in marketing management from Welingkar's Institute of Management Studies and also holds a bachelor's degree in instrumentation.
