The Mumbai-based mobile service provider plans to use social media for brand building, customer engagement and similar purposes.
Mumbai-based mobile service provider, Loop Mobile, which has 3 million subscribers in the city, has hired Windchimes Communications as its social-media agency.
About Loop Mobile's social-media strategy, Nimesh Shah, head maven, Windchimes Communications, tells afaqs!, "Facebook and Twitter will become the core of the social media strategy of Loop Mobile. Twitter.com will be leveraged to listen to and resolve consumer feedback. Facebook.com will be used for brand building and creating awareness about value-added services offered by the mobile company."
He adds, "We plan to create Facebook applications, which can be integrated with mobile devices and used to demonstrate the value-added services offered by the company."
Arif Ali, head, brand and communications, Loop Mobile (India), says, "Today, mobiles are a necessity and consumers are more discerning and quality-conscious than they ever were. With the rapid adoption of social media among consumers, it is clear that we need to stay connected with our users and participate in social media."
For the record, Windchimes recently won the social media duties of Sony Music and Kochi IPL Team as well.
