Amar Ujala AMCL 2011: Karmatech, Lowe Lintas, Interactive Avenues and Noshe Group win league matches in Delhi

While the first match of the day resulted in a walkover for Karmatech, the other matches witnessed a heady mix of power-packed competition and notable performances.

Fever FM versus Karmatech

The first match of the day was scheduled between Fever FM and Karmatech. Since the former did not turn up for the match, Karmatech received a walkover and also the two points on account of the walkover.

Lowe Lintas versus Star News

The next match of the day was between Lowe Lintas and Star News. The former won the toss and decided to field first. Team Star News set a target of 111 runs with a loss of four wickets. The chasing team met the target and won the fiercely fought match. Abhinav of Team Star News scored 47 (off 23 balls, 5X4, 3X6) and got unlucky to not have completed his half-century.Damodaran of Team Lowe was declared the Man of the Match as he clinched two crucial wickets, giving away 39 in the four overs he bowled. He also scored 26 runs (off 13 balls, 5X4). Team Lowe Lintas won the match by three wickets.

Interactive Avenues versus JWT

Deciding to bat first, Interactive Avenues set a target of 132 runs with a loss of two wickets. Prem Kumar of Team Interactive scored 86 runs (off 29 balls, 9X4, 7X6). On a measured delivery from Prantik caught by Akshat, Prem, who was till then going strong, had to head back to the pavilion. Team JWT was all out at 78 runs. Other than Prem, Mayank of Team Interactive added to the opponent's woes. He grabbed five wickets and gave away 15 runs in four overs. Team Interactive won the match by 55 runs and Prem was declared the Man of the Match.

Noshe Group versus afaqs!

The last match of the day was played between Noshe Group and afaqs!. The former won the toss and decided to bat first. Setting a target of 129 runs after losing two wickets, Noshe had already set the tone for things to come. afaqs! was seen reeling under pressure right from the word go. Mohd. Mobeen of Team Noshe scored a half century (off 22 balls, 6X4, 3X6) and was supported by Vikas Kapoor for a partnership that yielded 82 runs. The chasing team was all out at 57 runs, with Nakul scoring the highest (19 runs off 18 balls, 3X4). Mohd. Mobeen, who made things difficult for the opponent, added to the trouble by clinching three wickets. His impressive performance was rewarded by a Man of the Match trophy.
