The first quarter-final of the tournament was played between Mercantile and Affle, with the former registering a resounding win.

The day began with the league matches, and also saw the first quarter-final of the tournament being played between Mercantile and Affle. This was, perhaps, the most exciting match of the day.

Aidem versus Fever FM

In the first match of the day, Aidem won the toss and decided to bat first. The opening batsman, Gaurav Trivedi started the innings with a score of 17 runs (off 7 balls, 2X4, 1X6). Bhuvnesh Kaul, the second in line, scored 68 runs (off 27 balls, 9X4, 4X6), while Suresh Aswal, the next batsman, scored 75 runs (off 19 balls, 3X4, 10X6). In the second innings, Team Fever FM could only manage 98 runs in the 10 overs bowled. Sahil Gulati from Team Aidem clinched two wickets, ceding 29 runs in three overs. Team Aidem won the match by 84 runs. Suresh was declared the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 75 runs.

Amar Ujala Compact versus Allied Media

The next match was over quickly and seemed one-sided. Deciding to bat first, Team Amar Ujala Compact set an easy target of 99 runs.

For Team Allied Media, the opening pair of Prem Kumar and Sahid wrapped up the innings with professional maturity. While Prem Kumar scored 40 runs (off 22 balls, 6X4, 1X6), Sahid helped the side with a 46-run rally (off 26 balls, 8X4). The bowling lineup of the opposing team proved ineffective, with bowlers ceding as high as 46 runs in three overs, and a costly 17 runs as extras.

Allied Media won the match in 9.2 overs. Surender Singh from the winning team was adjudged the Man of the Match for taking three wickets and restricting the opponents to a sub-100 run target.

OMD versus Ogilvy Neo

Team OMD won the toss and batted first, setting a target of 142 runs and losing just two wickets. The highest scorer from the side was Sachin Kumar, who made 68 runs (off 26 balls, 9X4, 3X6).

Team Ogilvy Neo was seen scurrying for 80 runs, as it lost all its players. Kishan of Team OMD snapped three wickets, giving away 23 runs in the three overs he bowled. Deepak added to the pressure by taking another two wickets.

Team OMD won the match by 63 runs. Sachin Kumar was declared the Man of the Match, as he scored 68 runs and clinched a wicket as well.

Affle versus Mercantile

The first quarter-final was the most exciting and one-sided match of the day. Team Affle won the toss and decided to bowl first. Not able to contain Team Mercantile's batsmen, they ceded 163 runs in the first innings.

The opening pair of Team Affle, Abhishek and Gaurav Daryani (who had won the Man of the Match award previously) proved ineffective, as both went back without opening their accounts. Joginder from Team Mercantile took two wickets, giving just 14 runs in the three overs he bowled.

Team Affle was no competition to the opponents, as they managed a humble 39 runs, losing all their players in a little over six overs. Team Mercantile won the match by a huge margin of 125 runs. Joginder from the winning side got the Man of the Match trophy.
